Washoe County has issued an evacuation order for the Callahan Ranch area in south Reno, encompassing part of the Arrowcreek and the Galena areas. The evacuation line runs right up to Montreux Golf Course.
According to Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, “Callahan Fire is wind-driven, with fast rate of spread. Multiple agencies are responding.”

According to the National Weather Service, there is a Lake Wind Advisory in effect in the Tahoe basin until 7 p.m. with crests into the valley.
