Between the Carson High boys and girls soccer teams, 16 players were chosen for the Class 5A North all-league teams announced last week.
On the boys side, the Senators had 10 all-league selections after taking fourth place in the Sierra League.
Leading the way with first-team honors were Johan Lizarraga, Angel Vega and Ellan Ortiz.
Lizarraga earned the first-team honors at forward while Vega and Ortiz were chosen at the defender and goalkeeper positions, respectively.
For second-team selections, Carson had forward Jaden Gomez listed alongside midfielder Trigo Burciaga and defender Oswaldo Lepe.
Rounding out the all-league selections on the honorable mention team were Diego Chevez, Juan Alegria, Francisco Velazquez and Evan Escobedo.

CARSON GIRLS PUT SIX ON ALL-LEAGUE SQUADS
The Senator girls soccer team had six members of its 2024 squad earn all-league honors.
Half of Carson’s all-league selections made it onto the first-team list between forward Alondra Carillo, midfielder Addy Morgan and defender Makayla Rabideau.
Carrillo finished fourth in the 5A North in goals scored this season with 14, leading Carson in scoring.
Morgan tallied four goals and two assists from her midfield spot, while Rabideau had a goal and an assist from the backline.
Earning second-team honors at forward was Grace Turner, who tallied a hat trick against Hug this season and finished the year with seven goals and six assists.
Defender Lillian Turner and keeper Ashley Waiksnoris capped the Senators’ all-league selections on the honorable mention team.
Turner scored one goal this season for Carson while Waiksnoris was credited with seven shutouts in 20 games this fall.
