All-region tennis teams announced

The 2024 Class 4A North boys and girls tennis all-region teams were announced recently, with several members of the Carson and Douglas teams taking home postseason honors.

In girls tennis, the Senators had three players take home postseason awards.

In singles, Meryl Johnson earned an honorable mention selection for her play this fall. Per MaxPreps, Johnson finished the year 18-8 in her singles sets.

Johnson was accompanied by her teammates, Lily Maguire and Abby Wolz, who were also honorable mention honorees in doubles.

For Douglas, Kiley Girdner was chosen as an honorable mention selection, as well.

BOYS SELECTIONS

Carson and Douglas boys tennis both had a doubles team earn all-region honors.

For the Senators, Cannon Myler and Sujwal Reddy Yedunthula picked up an honorable mention spot on the 4A North all-region team.

In Minden, David Alexander and Luc Tomassi were also selected for an honorable mention spot.
