What an honor it is to share that the Senior in the Spotlight for this week is Aurora Giurlani. Giurlani joined us in Carson City as a seventh grader at Carson Middle School and has been a positive part of our community ever since. Her bright smile and warm demeanor align perfectly with her years of time spent as a cheerleader for Carson, and her strong academic accomplishments are proof of her diligence and drive for success.
Giurlani has challenged herself with both Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) classes throughout her time at Carson High, and this year is no different. While many seniors prioritize being off campus and having fewer classes in their final year, she chose to continue on with her AP coursework track, even adding an additional enrichment class to further her understanding of the concepts she is learning this year. In addition to keeping busy with her robust academic performance, she also has participated in musical theater for the past few years, continued to cheer for the CHS Cheer Team, held a steady job and has been active in her church at Common Ground.
Giurlani is looking to the future, as well, with plans to attend college at the University of Nevada, Reno. She plans to study physics and try out for the UNR Cheer Team so that she can continue on with her passions for stunting and pom. For those who know Giurlani, there is no doubt that she will work hard to meet any goal she sets for herself and achieve it. We are so proud to acknowledge Giurlani for this week’s Senior in the Spotlight, and we look forward to see what dreams are realized for her in the future. Congratulations, Aurora.
