Fallon celebrated on Saturday the second year of hosting its ice skating rink, Fallon on Ice, with free admission and food and drink vendors.
The rink located south of the Douglass House at 10 S. Carson St., will offer special discounts and events throughout the season such as 2-for-1 admission nights and movie nights. Upcoming themes on Friday nights include Disney, sports fan and ‘80s night.
Operating hours are noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday with each session lasting an hour and a half.
Children 4 years old and younger skate for free. Admission for ages 5 to 17 is $12, adults (18 and older) are $15 and seniors and military are $13. Skaters who bring their own skates will receive a $3 discount on admission.
“We are incredibly proud to bring the Fallon community together through a shared love of the holiday season,” said Fallon Mayor Ken Tedford. “With the ice rink returning for its second year, we hope even more families will come out to create lasting, cherished memories.”
