The Rusted Rose Western Boutique held its grand opening and Fallon Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony Nov. 23, just in time for Small Business Saturday.

Owner Katrena Wenger shares the space with her daughter, Rachelle Gomes, who opened The Rusted Rose Beauty Lounge with high end spa chairs and nail stations in May.

Encouraged by their next-door neighbor, Cranberry Cottage owner Pam Yost, and Bobbie Nastro of Memorie Boutique from a few doors down, their idea to “sell a few western style shirts in the back” grew into a full-fledged cowboy/cowgirl style boutique. Wenger said the three shops collaborate instead of compete to ensure little to no overlap of brand names and a wider variety of items for Maine Street customers.

Products for sale include Western-themed clothing, accessories, home decor and gifts. During Shop Small Saturday on Nov. 30 The Rusted Rose will have most items on sale at 10% off. Christmas merchandise will also be 25% off and a few selected items will be 50% off.

The boutique is now open at 131 S. Maine St. number 101. For information, call 775-294-4157.
