Thank you to everyone who joined us at the theatre for our evening concert with Wandering Songs last weekend.
It’s always a pleasure to have Steve & Raena on our stage and we look forward to hosting them again in the future.
With that being said, this next weekend we’re officially kicking off the holiday season with two great films to get you into the spirit, starting with “Rise of the Guardians” at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. When the evil embodiment of fear named Pitch launches an assault on Earth, the Immortal Guardians team up to protect the innocence of children all around the world.
Starring the voice talents of Jude Law as Pitch, Chris Pine as Jack Frost, Alec Baldwin as North, and Hugh Jackman as Bunny. This movie is rated PG.
Also showing this weekend on Friday and Saturday, we have the 2003 romantic comedy, “Love Actually,” at 7 p.m. This film follows the lives of eight very different couples dealing with their love lives in various loosely interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London.
Starring Keira Knightley, Alan Rickman and Liam Neeson. This film is rated R.
December is fast approaching and bringing with it plenty of fun experiences and opportunities to make memories starting with the annual tradition of the Maine Street Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Immediately following the lighting we’ll have the Lahontan Valley Concert Choir on stage for a short round of carols and afterward we’ll be showing two films sponsored by Sierra Financial: Jack Frost (1979) and It’s a Wonderful Life.
The following weekend, on Dec. 13-14, Bassham Furniture is sponsoring a very special Polar Express Weekend featuring three opportunities for a 4D experience with vibrations, scent, mist, confetti and more.
