There are caring, generous folks in our community who go the extra mile in helping others in need. There are such persons at a nonprofit here in Carson City who have shown compassion and care to a veteran who was falling through the cracks. This letter is to recognize their efforts in bringing him food weekly, signing him up for Meals On Wheels, bringing his computer to him in the hospital and visiting him, as well as cleaning his apartment and setting up a bed for him before they brought him home.
This woman and her son have demonstrated volunteerism far beyond their call of duty.
This remarkable woman and her son know they've performed a work in Christ and that they are appreciated for going the extra mile to help this veteran. To Buffy and her son at The Salvation Army, I say thank you! God bless you both!
