At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Investigations Division, Special Investigations and Major Crimes Units, with the assistance of multiple outside agencies, simultaneously executed search warrants at two separate locations in Silver Springs and Stagecoach in relation to a month’s long investigation into an illegal marijuana growing operation.
Investigators located a sophisticated marijuana growing and processing operation at both locations, resulting in the seizure of over 1,500 marijuana plants, over 1,000 pounds of processed marijuana, as well as multiple firearms. Investigators also discovered that large sums of currency received as profits of Marijuana sales had recently been sent from this operation directly to Mexico.
Ten subjects also were arrested between the two locations.
The following subjects were arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail:

All subjects were booked on the following charges: trafficking in controlled substances: marijuana or concentrated cannabis (more than 1,000 pounds); possession of controlled substance for sale; unlawful cultivation of marijuana; maintain place for unlawful sale gift or use of controlled substance; prohibited person in possession of firearm.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this operation by the following agencies: Carson City Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Central Lyon County Fire Department, United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Nevada State Police Investigations Division, Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board and Battleborn Medivac.
