Fallon Theatre opens October with Monster Movie Weekend

Last week’s Show ‘N’ Shine was a huge success and we are beyond grateful to every volunteer and participant who made it happen.

We’re jumping from one event right into another with our huge Monster Movie Weekend coming up Friday and Saturday. Huck Salt is sponsoring these films and they also donated funds to decorate the lobby of the theatre for the month of October. This is going to make for some fantastic photo ops so feel free to come dressed in costume. We’ll also have some fun monster-themed goodies at the concession stand.

Our 6 p.m. movie on both days is the 2001 Disney-Pixar hit, “Monsters, Inc.,” rated G. In order to power the city, monsters have to harvest the screams of scared children, but when a child gets through a door into the monster’s world, chaos ensues.

At 7 p.m. we’ll be showing “The Monster Squad,” which was released in 1987 and follows a group of 12-year-olds who attempt to save their hometown from Count Dracula and his monsters when they show up in the real world. This movie is rated PG-13.
