Mobile dental services offered at Carson City schools

Nevada Health Centers will bring mobile dental services to students and children in Carson City next week.

Services will be offered at Carson High School from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday; at Empire Elementary School from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 7 a.m. to noon on Friday, Oct. 11.

The mobile office will be staffed with dentists and assistants and will offer services including exams, cleanings, X-rays, sealants, extractions, restorative services, fillings and oral health education.

The dental services will be provided to children up to 21 years of age with or without insurance coverage. Private insurance, Medicaid and Nevada Check Up are accepted. Children without dental insurance will be supported through community grants. Parents will need to be present for their child to receive care.
