2024 Carson City General Election ballots arrive containing an error

Carson City voters received their official ballots in the mail on Saturday for the 2024 General Election. However, upon inspection the ballots contain an error. 

In the race for United State Representative in Congress, District 2, the ballot lists candidate Lynn Chapman as a Democrat. 

According to the Nevada Secretary of State, Chapman is a member of the Independent American Party. The Carson City sample ballots, which have not been received by voters as of Saturday, list Chapman as an IAP member. The ballot is available online on the Carson City Elections website.
