A cold front is sweeping into Northern Nevada with chances of precipitation through this weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
Partly sunny conditions are expected through Friday with rain showers likely after 11 p.m. Snow levels to fall to elevations of 6,000 feet. Rain is expected in the valleys going into Saturday. Snow level falling to 5,200 feet into Sunday morning. Snow accumulations are expected between 6 inches to 2 feet in higher elevations.
Following a wet and cold weekend, Nevadans can expect warmer temperatures beginning next week, with highs in the 40s and 50s through mid-week.
