Douglas’ boys tennis team took care of Reed Thursday afternoon, taking down the Raiders, 16-2.
Bryce Townsend went 3-0 in the win in singles, taking his three sets by finals of 6-2, 6-1 and 7-5. Brody Fontenot also went 3-0 with wins of 6-2, 6-1 and 6-3.
Zack Peterlin went 2-1 for the Tigers, securing his two set points by scores of 6-3 and 6-1.
Douglas also went 8-1 in doubles as Ethan Willis and Lucius Tomassi went 3-0 alongside the pairing of Abram Millward and David Alexander.
UP NEXT: Douglas (1-1) hosted Reno (1-1) Tuesday before competing at Bishop Manogue (0-1) Thursday.
MINER VOLLEYBALL TAKES DOWN TIGERS
Bishop Manogue volleyball was able to get past Douglas Thursday night in straight sets — 25-9, 25-17, 29-27.
UP NEXT: Douglas (4-6, 1-3 in Class 5A North league play) will host Galena (3-1, 2-1) Thursday in Minden at 6 p.m.

The Tiger cross country team will compete Saturday in the North Tahoe Madman Mills Motivational.
