Since we opened, our mission at Nashville Social Club has been to provide a warm, welcoming place for locals and visitors alike to gather for fabulous Southern cooking, happy hour, brunch, stellar music and a whole host of banquet celebrations.

So when our community – yes, you! – voted us “Best Of” in nine categories, including first place for Happy Hour in the Nevada Appeal's 2024 Best of Carson City awards, we knew it was the perfect time to raise our glass and toast y’all.

So today, we present our recipe for one of Nashville Social's signature cocktails, Feelin' Alright. Named for music legend Dave Mason and his iconic song, this beverage definitely delivers all its name promises.

Dave has a catalog of legendary music, and of course Feelin' Alright is a timeless rock anthem. How can you not feel fabulous when you drink it? Add in good company, and it's a guarantee.

In more great Dave news, he is releasing his book, “Only You Know and I Know” in September. We will be hosting his book launch Thursday, Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m. Guests will receive a personalized, signed copy of the book, enjoy a four-course meal prepared by Chef Matt Farag, sip a complimentary, award-winning Feelin' Alright cocktail and perhaps hear a song or two performed by Dave from his new blues compilation. The highlight will be Dave sharing some of the great untold tales in rock and roll — his complicated relationship with Steve Winwood and his wild legal episodes with record companies as he and his co-author, Chris Epting, are live on stage in the Swan Music Hall at the Nashville Social Club.

Fellow Northern Nevadans may also join me in thinking it’s pretty darn cool that we share the feeling that Home Means Nevada with the likes of this rock legend!

“My wife Winifred and I travel far and wide most of the year and love when we get to come home to the Carson Valley; it’s quiet and beautiful and a perfect balance to our fast-paced tour life,” Dave said during a recent visit. “Folks in this community are wonderful, and I look forward to spending a meaningful evening together, sharing my book, some personal stories and moments with a special joy that only happens when you’re home.”

Feelin' Alright Cocktail

Serves one

Combine together over ice:

1.5 ounces Tahoe Blue Vodka

1 ounce Pomegranate Juice

3 ounces Club Soda

Squeeze of lime

Splash of Agave Syrup

Smack a leaf of basil to activate all the flavor and garnish.
