PUBLIC NOTICE COMMUNITY

DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)

PROGRAM YEAR 2023 CONSOLIDATED

ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND

EVALUATION REPORT

As a CDBG entitlement grantee, Carson City

is required to submit to the CDBG program

administrator, U.S. Department of Housing and

Urban Development (“HUD”), a Consolidated

Plan, which identifies housing and community

development priorities, an Annual Action Plan,

which provides a concise summary of the

actions, activities and available resources to be

used each year to address the priority needs

and specific goals identified in the Consolidated

Plan, and within 90 days of the close of the

program year (“PY”), a performance report

commonly known as “CAPER”. Prior to its

submission to HUD, the CAPER must be made

available for public review and written comment

for no less than 15 days. The public may also

submit oral comment during a public meeting.

All public comments relative to the plans must

be considered in the preparation of the CAPER

and a summary of these comments must be

attached to the CAPER that will be submitted to

HUD. The CAPER must be submitted to HUD

by September 30th of each year.

Public Comment Period: The CAPER will be

available for a 15-day public view and comment

period beginning September 11, 2024. Written

or verbal comments must be received by 5pm

on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. The

CAPER is available on the Carson City website
