In our very dry climate and closer proximity to the sun, dermatology has become very important in keeping our skin youthful and free from cancer.

Got an unsightly wart, rash, acne, or other skin imperfection? You can now be treated at the new state-of-the-art dermatology practice just opened by Samantha Schneider.

Pacific Crest Dermatology is an independently-owned, private practice at 1525 Vista Lane, Suite 120 which is located on the Carson Tahoe Medical Campus in north Carson City.

Schneider is a board-certified dermatologist and a board-certified and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and has treated thousands of surgical patients for skin cancer removal and reconstruction.

She and her team also specialize in cosmetic treatments. She is a transplant to Northern Nevada moving here in 2020 from the Midwest and chose Carson City to open her practice. When not tending to patients, she is an avid knitter and an outdoors person.

Her physician assistant is Snydee Eck, who has completed advanced fellowship training in dermatology and conditions of the skin. Schneider believes in providing patient-centered, high quality and individualized medical care.

Appointments may be made online at pacificcrestdermatology.com or by calling 775-451-3376. The Carson City Chamber coordinated the ribbon cutting/grand opening celebration on Sept. 18.
