The Carson High baseball team was a walk-off winner Saturday at home against Reed, 8-7, in eight innings.
Carson junior Ethan Cook came up to bat with one out in the eighth and singled in Tyler LaFollette to win.
Cook finished the contest 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs while LaFollette went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.
Kodie Campbell was 2-for-3 with two walks and a run scored. Lucas LaFollette had two RBIs.
Sebastian Montes, Eli Locatelli and Noah Hutchison all had an RBI.
On the mound, Will Raggett picked up the win in two innings of relief.
Locatelli threw 3.2 innings as the starter, allowing one earned run and striking out two.
UP NEXT: Carson (3-10, 1-4 in Class 5A North league play) was scheduled to play at Reno on Tuesday before playing at Peccole Park at the University of Nevada on Thursday against Damonte Ranch (1-9, 0-5).

SENATOR BOYS TRACK 11th, GIRLS 12th AT WEEKEND INVITE
Carson High boys track and field finished 11th last weekend at the Reed Reno Running Company Invite.
In the 400-meter dash, Carson’s Jaren Thornburg was sixth with a personal record of 53.33.
Junior Sean Thornton was fifth in the 800 in 2:04.21 before winning the 3,200 in 9:47.30, which was a PR.
Quinn Kuchnicki, a sophomore, was fifth in the 1,600 in 4:46.97.
Kekoa Mitchell finished seventh in the discus with a throw of 128-11.
For the girls, Hannah Budd was eighth in the 1,600 with a time of 5:45.48. Vea Miner took ninth in the 3,200 with a mark of 13:38.11.
Anne Davis set a personal record in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 16.05 to win. Davis also took fourth in the long jump with a leap of 15-8.75.
Julie Salanoa was sixth in the shot put with a throw of 31-9.75 while Emjae Salanoa was seventh in the discus with a toss of 91-8.

FALCON, DAYTON TRACK RUN AT REED INVITE
The Sierra Lutheran High School track and field team was also at the Reed Reno Running Company Invite last weekend.
Senior Michael Miles PR’d in the shot put with a throw of 45-4.5, good for sixth place.
Dayton’s Rhys Evans took eighth in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.44. Evans was fifth in the pole vault with a clearance of 13 feet even.
Blake Lyman set a PR of 111-6 in the discus for the Dust Devils, taking 22nd.
On the girls side, Dayton’s Madison Tinsley took second place in the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 10 inches for a season-best.
Sierra Lutheran’s Sydney Sufka vaulted over 9-6 in the pole vault to take sixth.
FALLON SWEEPS DAYTON BASEBALL
Churchill County High school swept Dayton High baseball last week, 13-3, 3-0 and 10-4.
Sophomore Adrian Acosta had a double in the first game while Travis Gardner and Jordan Kennedy each had an RBI for Dayton.
Acosta and Duke Evans were the only Dust Devils with a hit in game two. Evans threw six innings on the mound with five strikeouts and one earned run.
In the final game, Ivor Evans went 2-for-4 while Acosta drove in another run.
Ryan Frank and Kennedy tallied Dayton’s two other hits in the 10-4 loss.
UP NEXT: Dayton (8-8, 1-5 in Class 3A North league play) returns to action April 10 against Fernley (3-13-1, 0-6).
DAYTON SOFTBALL PLAYS IN REED TOURNAMENT
Dayton High softball played in five contests at the Reed tournament this past weekend.
The Dust Devils fell to Chico (California), 5-3 before losing to Reno, 6-2.
Dayton also suffered losses to Douglas (18-1), Crater (6-3) and Damonte Ranch (7-1).
LaSade Conti and Macie Hannum tripled in the loss to Chico while Sofia Ramirez doubled against Reno.
Senior Alexis Munoz had the RBI for the Dust Devils in the loss against Douglas.
Hannum had a double and an RBI against Crater while Munoz knocked in another RBI.
Bradlie Stevens, Hannum and Conti all had doubles in the loss to Damonte Ranch.
UP NEXT: Dayton (10-8, 1-2 in Class 3A North league play) will travel to Fallon (8-6, 2-1) this weekend for a three-game series beginning Friday with a Saturday doubleheader.
