Under FEMA’s coordination Americans receive the best possible response and protections during any kind of emergency situation. FEMA uses the Incident Command System to coordinate approximately 30,000 county, state, federal, municipal and volunteer emergency responder departments nationwide. All these individual departments share their resources for responding to emergencies through FEMA coordinated mutual aid agreements.
FEMA supports the nationwide network of emergency responder departments by managing training and certification for necessary qualifications to participate in the response organization. These FEMA coordinated emergency responders will always prioritize protecting Americans and property. They are always on patrol and will run toward the danger on your behalf and you can count on them to be there for you when you need them.
Emergency responders would greatly appreciate you sharing with your elected officials not to defund the Department of Homeland Security FEMA. Defunding FEMA will jeopardize your and emergency responder safety and their ability to provide coordinated, swift and effective response to emergencies.
