Storey County officials sworn into office

This week, the Hon. Kristin Luis and the Hon. Jason Woodbury, judges of the First Judicial District Court, presided over the swearing-in ceremony for Storey County's elected officials. The ceremony, held at the historic Storey County Courthouse, marks the beginning of new terms of service for these dedicated leaders.

Among those taking the oath of office were:

• Clay Mitchell, County Commissioner, District 1

• Donald Gilman, County Commissioner, District 3

• Eileen Herrington, Justice of the Peace, Virginia Township Justice Court

• Amy Fye, School Board Trustee, Seat 1A

• Casey Conley, School Board Trustee, Seat 1B

• John Miller, Canyon GID Trustee, Seat 1A

• Dave Hart, Canyon GID Trustee, Seat 2C

Family, friends and community members gathered to celebrate the occasion.
