The Carson City Historical Society will present a lecture, "Carson City: Then & Now,” featuring Jed Block at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 9.

The presentation will be in the Carriage House behind the Foreman-Roberts House at 1207 N. Carson St. Block is a dedicated historian and Carson City native with over two decades of experience researching and documenting Carson City's rich past.

A well-known expert in the Capital City's history, Block is passionate about sharing its stories to inspire a greater appreciation for historic preservation.

Block serves on the Carson City Historic Resources Commission, where he previously held the position of chairman. His extensive collection of historic photographs and research has made his "Carson City: Then & Now" series a local favorite, offering a glimpse into the city's lost landmarks and evolving landscape.
