Data released by Sierra Nevada Realtors shows home sales in Carson City rising in February while prices dipped slightly.
Carson City had 62 sales of existing single-family homes and condos/townhomes, a 26.5 percent increase from the previous month and a 5.1 percent increase from last year, according to a news release.
The median sales price for an existing single-family residence and condos/townhomes was $524,925, a decrease of 4.6 percent from the previous month and a decrease of 2.8 percent from the previous year.
The active inventory in the capital city in February was 116 homes, a decrease of 12.8 percent from last month and a decrease of 23.7 percent from last year.
“While there may be some seasonal fluctuations, the long-term market remains resilient,” said SNR President Leandra Carr.
Douglas County
Douglas County had 51 sales of existing single-family homes and condos/townhomes in February, an increase of 59.4 percent from the previous month and an increase of 10.9 percent from last year. The median sales price for an existing single-family residence and condos/townhomes was $688,020, a decrease of 6.1 percent from the previous month and last year.
Washoe County (excluding Incline Village)
Washoe County, excluding the area of Incline Village, saw 521 new listings and 401 closed sales in February. The median sales price for an existing single-family residence and condos/townhome was $535,000, an increase of 1.9 percent from the previous month and an increase of 5.6 percent from last year. The active inventory was 1,021 homes, a decrease of 2.9 percent from last month and an increase of 32.9 percent from last year.
Churchill County
Churchill County had 17 sales of existing single-family homes and manufactured properties, an increase of 21.4 percent from the previous month and an increase of 6.3 percent from last year. The median sales price for existing manufactured and single-family residences was $380,000, an increase of 1.1 percent from the previous month and an increase of 16.2 percent from last year.
Lyon County (Includes stick-built, manufactured and single-family residences)
Lyon County had 72 sales of existing single-family homes and manufactured properties, a decrease of 4 percent from the previous month and a decrease of 15.3 percent from last year. The median sales price for existing manufactured and single-family residences was $402,500, an increase of 4.5 percent from last month and an increase of 7.3 percent from the previous year.
