The Fallon archery team captured last week’s state tournament with a score of 3,207 points, including 126 perfect scores (bullseyes).
Competing against 14 teams from across the Silver State, Fallon also placed two individuals near the top of the boys and girls divisions.
Pakela Malama-Gomes and Isabella Laplana each placed second individually in the boys and girls divisions.
State champion team members included the following who qualified based on their state-level scores: Franklin Sabanovich, Kolby McFadden, Pakela Malama-Gomes, Chase Rothmeyer, Myles Coatney, Dean Spencer, Patrick Silva, Victoria Dobbs, Isabella Laplana, Mariah Schafer, Melanie Mora and Cayden Walsh.
The team also included Wylie Boartfield, Lars Rasmussen, Zack Tom, Ava Buberl, Tayven Martinez, Willow Shults, Alfredo Perez, Cortnee Phipps, Alyssa Gardner, Mikayla Carnes, Sheila Miller and Jasmine Collier.
