The fifth annual family-friendly event with crafters, vendors, food and live music is scheduled for May 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 3C Event Complex. Representatives April Gonzales and Alison Fenimore said the money would fund the advertising for the event as well as purchase meat for the free lunch for military and first responder attendees.

Commissioners also:

• Approved a 12-month extension request by NEV DEV, LLC to complete the engineering and construction of the road improvements to record the parcel maps required by the conditions of approval.

• Approved to ratify a $25,000 agreement between Churchill County Social Services and the State of Nevada, Department of Industry, Division of Housing to support a contract with Winged Wolf Innovations, Inc. on behalf of the Rural Nevada Continuum of Care.
