Nancy Eleanor Gomes

Nancy Eleanor Gomes, 88, passed away in her home with her family by her side on April 14, 2021.
Nancy was born June 17, 1932 in San Jose, California. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in San Jose. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Eleanor Pharris, her siblings, Arlene Strong, Wilma Luiz and Orville Pharris.
Nancy was a wonderful wife, mother, friend, grandmother, great-grand mother and great-great grandmother, She enjoyed gardening and had wonderful flowers around her home, Nancy was also quite the artist, she enjoyed sewing and made lots of doll clothes for her daughters’ dolls when they were younger. She was a wonderful homemaker and fabulous cook, hosting many family dinners in her home.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Louis Gomes, children, Melody (Edward) Lipnicki; Joyce (Mike) Hughes; Chris (Samantha) Gomes; grandchildren, Cynthia; Christina and David Lipnicki; Whitney (Andrew) Denning; Mathias (Gabriella) Hughes and Jessica Gomes. Great-grandchildren, Ryan Lipnicki; Gage Brown; Madison Wells; Jordan Lipnicki; Alessandra Denning; Eleanor Hughes; Melinda Lipnicki ;David Lipnicki and great- great-grandson, Roman Lipnicki, also many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Rosary at The Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, April 22 at 6:30 PM.
Funeral service to be Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Gardens. Interment will follow service at Churchill County Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all he caregivers that took care of Nancy; Barbara; Lana; Margaret; Juanita; Joy; Lesley and Orlando. Also special thanks to Infinity Hospice for taking such good care of her.
