William David Nagel passed away peacefully at his home in Reno on August 4th, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Bill was born April 24th, 1958 in Reno, Nevada, and grew up in Carson City. He moved to Reno to attend UNR after graduating from Carson High School in 1976. Up until his retirement, he was a Superintendent at Reno Concrete. Bill had an adventurous spirit. He loved the outdoors and spent most of his time cycling, hiking, hang gliding, rock climbing, fly fishing, kayaking, and sailing. He was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoyed gardening, photography, motorcycles, fermenting, carpentry, and home brewing.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Leroy and Yvonne Mae (Odermatt); and his brother, Robert Nagel. Bill was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Wimmer); daughter, Emily; sons, Christopher and David; sister, Kathy Nagel; and many cousins.
The family would like to thank the Cancer Care Specialists, the oncology nursing staff at Renown, and Renown Hospice for their compassion and support.
