Galen Bruce Beydler
June 7, 1961 - July 8, 2021
Born in Farmington, NM to Robert and Kathryn Beydler on June 7, 1961. Galen’s family moved to Carson City, NV in 1971 where he lived until passing on July 8, 2021.
Galen was an adventurous soul to say the least. He always told stories of his younger years of how he and his best friend Mikeal would run and play all over Carson City, back when it was wide open spaces. As the two grew into men, Galen said it was no longer their feet that got them around town but it was fast motorcycles and even faster cars.
Galen was a big fan of baseball caps, every brand and color. He loved playing ball with his dogs, camping, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, Nascar, live baseball games, watching old western movies, long road trips to see family, watching eagles, enjoying a great steak dinner and creamy chocolate.
Galen was a hard-working man. He began as a teenager working at the Carson Nugget Coffee Shop. He was fascinated with heavy construction equipment and spent most of his career working for Marv McQueary Excavating. He also worked with many other construction and paving companies in the Carson/Reno area, most recently with Q and D Construction. Galen was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 3.
Predeceased by both parents, sister Connie Schulte (George) and best buddy “Moey” the Teapot Chihuahua (July 5, 2021).
Survived by his wife Valerie Beydler, Chi-weenie Dog - Mara, Brother Gary Beydler (Linda), Sister Kathy Payne (Monte), Sister Cindy Beydler, Stepchildren, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Also left behind are his two true friends, Mikeal Chadwick (Marilyn) and Joe Circo (Kim).
Galen was laid to rest at Lone Mountain Cemetery during a private burial July 23, 2021.
