She also did baby sitting in her home, and worked at Betty Brinson’s daycare/preschool. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Carson City for many years.
She returned to school and graduated from WNCC as a Registered Nurse in 1984. Following graduation, she worked at a local nursing facility for five years. Following that she worked at SSI and Medicaid for a total of twenty-five years with the State of Nevada. When she retired
from Medicaid she began working for Vista Care Hospice. She loved being a nurse but her passion was for Hospice. She had great compassion for end of life care and felt Hospice was a blessing for those who were at this stage in their life. She was a very caring kindhearted woman who brought much joy to many patients.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
“God saw me getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around me and whispered come to me.”
