Wayne Bonde passed away peacefully Wednesday,
February 3, 2021 in Fallon, Nevada. Wayne was born
in San Jose, California on May 1, 1934 to Duke and
Roselma (Perreira de Ponte) Bonde. He was married to
JoAnn Bonde Luiz for 25 years and the beloved late
Jean S. Bonde for 43 years.
Wayne grew up in Pleasanton, California and graduated
from Amador high school. Studied at University of
California Berkeley and University of California Davis.
Served with the United States Naval reserves. Retired
from AT&T after 33 years. Second career; retired from
Lawrence Livermore Radiation Laboratory. Wayne was
awarded 2 United States patents. Micro channel Heat
Sink Assembly and Process For Protecting Bonded
Components From Plating Shorts. Following in his
uncle Bob’s footsteps Wayne learned horseshoeing and
became the local Farrier throughout the
Livermore, Pleasanton Valley.
Wayne and late wife Jean traversed across the United
States many times in their motor home visiting family and
dear friends. Wayne volunteered at the Chincoteague
national wildlife refuge. Enjoyed giving tours of the
lighthouse during the time Wayne and wife Jean lived on
Chincoteague Island located on the Virginia shore. They
truly enjoyed boating and discovering the Chesapeake
along with following the wild ponies of the eastern shore.
Wayne is survived by his children. Wayne (Brenda)
Bonde, Maryann Bonde, Juliann (John) Banke, Matthew
(Dana Kristine) Bonde, Kathy (David) Lasorda-Ferreira
and David(Pamela) Lasorda. Including 13 grandchildren
and 15 great grandchildren.
Wayne had an older brother, deceased Duke T. Jr.
(Ginger) Bonde and surviving sister, Gail Bonde
Hendrickson and Kenneth Lambert.
Memorial tribute will be held in the future at
Chincoteague Island.
