She was born to Margaret Watters and George Watters on July 21, 1942.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Daniel and George Watters and Sister Mary Rea.
Kathleen (Kay) is survived by her sister Patricia Imburgia; husband Art Horsell; Children Lorraine (Lori) Bagwell, Steven Horsell, and Julie Higbee; her three grandchildren Kurt Schlicker, Ardin Chatwood, and Kevin (Kat) Patterson; two great grandchildren Hayden Chatwood and Landon Chatwood.
She was a faithful member of St. Teresa of Avila church. Kay was so proud to be a 37 year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Kay started the first ever stroke support group at Carson Tahoe Hospital and volunteered more than 900 hours. Kay loved to take photos, teach school aged children new things, square dance, and learn about her genealogy in her free time. Her favorite family activity was family camping trips in their argosy (trailer). She was a very loving kind woman who helped those in need.
A Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass on February 2, 2021 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
