Surrounded by her children and a couple great nurses at Carson Tahoe Continuing Care Hospital, Georganna Phelps claimed her independence from this world on July 4, 2021 and peacefully entered heaven. She loved her family and friends but was ready to meet the Lord.
Georganna was born in Long Beach, CA on June 15, 1946 to George and Gerva Blanco and had eight siblings. After moving from Lemoore, CA to Carson City, she worked as a change person at Carson Nugget Casino from August 1991 until 2007, before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dickie B. Phelps, son Jim Phelps, two brothers Bill and Gary, as well as, two sisters Gerva (Puppy) and Tonie.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Rose and son, Brian Phelps of Lemoore, CA, and son Sammy Phelps of Carson City, along with eleven grandkids and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Vicky Cockerill, Patty Blanco, Rosie Blanco, and Jackie Kinney.
Georganna requested for her children to place her with her late husband at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
