James Howard Smith
December 10, 1936 - February 3, 2021
“Big Jim” was born in Stockton, California to Howard and Henryetta Smith who both preceded him in death.
Jim is survived by Sandy Smith of Sparks, his wife of 43+ years; daughter, Tonya and husband Frank Campanile of Sparks, Nevada; daughter, Carma Caughlan and husband Dwight Dumpert of Duxbury, Massachusetts; daughter, Debi Bartel and husband Alex Lujano of Huntington Beach, California; son, Steve and wife Jeanette Smith of San Diego, California. Jim has 7 grandchildren, Tony and wife Melanie Campanile, Joe and wife Mackenzie Campanile, Lydia Campanile, Kora Dumpert, Elise Dumpert, Acacia Bartel, and Lily Bartel. Jim is also survived by his brother-in-law, Billy Tomlinson and wife Norma; plus, several cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial at the Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Drive in Fallon, Nevada on Sunday, June 27th, 3:00 – 5:00p.m.
Interment will be at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada, on Monday, June 28, from 10:00 -10:30.
