Former Carson City Mayor passes away. Dr. Eugene Marion Scrivner passed peacefully on January 2, 2021, surrounded by his four daughters, Victoria, Debra, Nancy, and Susan.
A true renaissance man spanning 2 centuries. Eugene fondly remembered as “Doc” was born in Seattle, Washington on September 11, 1922 to Charles M. Scrivner and Verda V. Kerns. He was 98.
Eugene served Carson City residents as a Chiropractic Physician for 40 years. Also serving the community as Mayor from 1969 to 1976 and a City Supervisor for 4 years. He served his country in the Navy aboard the USS Chauncey during WWII.
Our family will be forever blessed by his love for Nevada’s beautiful mountains, lakes, streams, and desert. Our memories we share of family time spent camping, fishing, boating, skiing, and horseback riding will forever be in our hearts.
He leaves a legacy with his grandchildren and their children as a grandpa who exemplified unconditional love and a zest for life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, brother, his first wife Barbara and second wife Agnes.
He is survived by his 4 daughters and son in laws, Victoria Scrivner Trinske (Mark), Debra Scrivner, Nancy Scrivner Fraser (Kenny),
Susan Scrivner Bohner (Steven), 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday June 12, 2021.
