Carson City has lost a dear friend.
Frank Homan, 87 years, died in his sleep on the morning of February 25, 2021. Frank was the best of men in that he would laugh first and ask questions later. And boy, when you needed help, he’d be the first to jump in. Always ready to meet you with a smile, share a
story, funny joke or one-liner.
He was born in Tulare, California, graduated from Lemoore High School, California where he excelled with a near 4 minute 50 second mile time on the track. He enlisted in the US Air Force after high school and was trained to work as a mechanic on jet engines. While
assigned to an Air Force base in Arkansas, he married his sweetheart Mary Henson who was wife for 64 years. He came to South Lake Tahoe in 1965 where he was a boat service manager and very proficient Mercury Engine and outdrive specialist. In 1976 he moved down
to Carson City and managed the Carson Tahoe Rents business for 30 plus years before retiring.
He is survived by his wife Mary Homan, Brothers Joe Homan and Alvaro Homan, God son Dwight Borges, and many relatives and friends from the Homan family of eight. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maria, Brothers Manual, Tony and Sisters Madeline Homan, Rosie Borges and Alice Luis. While many on this Earth are missing Frank tremendously, we may rest assured that Heaven is enjoying Frank with fondness.
