Jimmy Johnson (James E Johnson), age 66, passed on May 2, 2021 at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
He was a graduate of South Tahoe High School and then went on to become a proud firefighter/paramedic/deputy county sheriff in Lincoln, NE for 10+ years before he was injured. He then moved back to Nevada where he lived in the Carson Valley area and was the owner of Sunridge Painting for 25+ years.
Jimmy was an avid Nebraska Football fan and a member of NN4N for many years. He was a hero in the face of chaos and had a kind heart for serving others – spending hours fixing things and helping friends. He loved antiques with good stories to tell and retelling local history to his friends and family. He always wore a Nebraska hat on his head and carried a harmonica in his pocket.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Shauna Johnson and Tanya Johnson. He is also survived by his sisters – Jan Lemburg, Retta Hall, and Crisy Wright, nephews Shell Lemburg, Chad Lemburg and niece Karen Kostelnik.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Johnson and Harvey Johnson, and his nephew Casey Wright.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 29th 2021 at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden, NV.
All are welcome to gather at 10am but services begin at 11am. Masks are required
