Judi Plemmons, also known as “Boots” by her family, was a longtime resident of Gardnerville, Nevada. Judi passed away on September 8, 2021, at the Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, Nevada, with her daughter Michele Romero at her side.
Judi was born in Oakland, California to Frank and Mary Brekas. She attended and graduated from Holy Names High School in Oakland.
Judi and her husband Larry, moved to Gardnerville in 1995. Judi loved living in the Silver State with all it had to offer. She also loved classic cars, rodeo’s, slot machines, country music, concerts and she loved going to the Aces and Salt Lake Bees baseball games as well as spending time and travelling with her daughter Michele. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Larry, who was the love of her life.
In addition to her daughter Michele, she leaves behind her two grandsons, Luke and Zach Romero, both of whom she truly cherished. She also leaves behind her two sisters Patricia Shamblin and Karen Brekas as well as her brother Roger Brekas and his wife Pam.
Judi will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends.
The family plans on holding a “Celebration of Life” gathering on October 16th from 4:00 to 7:00 at her residence in Gardnerville.
