Born June 5, 1928, in Berlin, Germany.
His mother took him to Switzerland where he learned to ski at age 4.
Proud to choose to be an American Citizen, St, Patrick’s Day, never wore Green, always an American Flag pin and Red-White-Blue colors.
Skiing was his passion, until a year ago, was on the slopes at Heavenly.
Early Ford V-8 Club was another passion, his ’53 Mercury covered several miles in the USA. He was past Historian for the club.
Member of Tahoe/Douglas Elks No. 2670 for 16 years.
Married to Mary Jane Pilkenton on June 24, 1983, at Saint Paul’s Episcopal ‘100-year-old Chapel’ in Walnut Creek, CA.
Survived by his wife, Mary Jane, stepson Jim Fitzgerald of San Jose, CA. daughter in law Emma and his beloved grandchildren Gene, Sophie and Amber.
