Ione Mason

Ione Mason, age 94, passed on Tuesday, May 10th,
in the comfort of her loved ones.
Ione was born in Tilden, Nebraska and worked most
of her career as an elementary school teacher in Napa,
California. After retirement, Ione, and her daughter Julie,
moved to Carson City, Nevada to be closer to her son,
Lee and her grandchildren.
Ione enjoyed attending events with her church,
going to dinner with friends and family, teaching her
grandchildren to bake, and spending time with her pets.
She never failed to plan a birthday celebration for each
of her loved ones and never missed a holiday, or a
Nebraska Huskers football game.
Ione was a woman of great humor, always able to make
light of any situation. An incredibly generous woman, she
was always happy to help those around her. She loved to
share memories of her childhood on the farm in Nebraska
and summers spent working at Yellowstone National
Park. She will be dearly missed.
Ione is survived by her two children, Julie and Lee,
and her 8 grandchildren
