Jeanette (Oxendine) Cunningham 85, died on Wednesday April 27,2023. She was the wife of
Gene Cunningham.
Born March 27,1938 in Detroit and raised in Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Toy Lee Oxendine and Donnie (Stamey) Oxendine.
She located to California as a young widow (of the late Harold R White) raising two small boys. Jeanette worked as a waitress and then as a secretary at Douglas Aircraft Company until Gene came along.
She spent her life as a devoted family woman who loved her husband Gene of 55 years and her four children. For fun, Jeanette enjoyed her Red Hats friends, dancing, singing, decorating, a bouquet of beautiful flowers and hosting family get-togethers.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Gene Cunningham of Nevada; her four children, Kevin White of Nevada; Kelly White of Arizona; Kari (Cunningham) Schoening of California; Kirby Cunningham of Nevada; six grandchildren, Melissa (White) Kim; Courtney (White) Renard; Aubrey White; Jacob Evan; Nik Schoening and Reese Schoening; and her sister Shirley Cooper; along with many great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Jeanette was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love and memories will be cherished by those who knew her.
