Connie Jean Kuhn
December 4, 1961 - May 19, 2024
Connie was born on December 4,1961 in Texarkana, Texas to Susan Kay Yeoman Fountain and James Brian Fountain, Jr. She is the fourth child from this marriage. She grew up in Carson City and then later years in Herlong. She died peacefully at home, in Fernley, Nevada, from lung cancer on May 19, 2024. Throughout her illness, she remained optimistic that she would get well. This is a trait that is prevalent in the extended family, and she knowingly or unknowingly conformed to family tradition in that regard.
She married the love of her life Jesse Clay Kuhn in Virginia City, Nevada on May 12, 1984. Three children were born from this marriage – Debra Kay Fountain, Jessica Marie Clayton, and Jesse Clay Kuhn, Jr. She loves her children and grandchildren very much and always made time for them in her busy life. She loves to cook and did so as an occupation for almost twenty years. She thoroughly enjoys cooking for other people. She also worked alongside her husband in their machining business (CNC Machining). Connie had a strong work ethic and an unwavering dedication to her family with fierce loyalty.
Connie was faced with many challenges and heartache in her life but always picked herself up, dusted off and found a way to move forward. Connie valued hard work, loyalty, honesty, and authenticity. She is very generous, empathetic, and compassionate, and always willing to drop everything to attend to those who were sick and in need of assistance. Connie cared for many people over the years on hospice until they crossed over. Connie was not only generous in life, but also in death as an organ donor.
She enjoys spending outdoor time with her husband and family at their favorite fishing spot, working in the yard and gardening. She loves a good bonfire with the family and spending time with her dog Loki, and cat Murphy. Her favorite color is purple, and she is a great fan of Prince, Michael Jackson, and flying pigs. She is a great lady with a kind heart, but her inner resolve is akin to steel. She always stood up for what was right regardless of what others thought or did and had a knack for “telling it like it is.” She is a leader and not a follower.
Connie’s legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity, even with little to spare. She is a rock to so many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Connie was preceded in death by her grandparents Eleanor Wadey Yeoman, David Yeoman, parents Susan Brown Yeoman, James Fountain, brothers Brian and Steve, sister Debra Fountain, and her husband Jesse Clay Kuhn. She is survived by her children, Debra, Jessica (Dave Clayton), and Jesse, and her grandchildren, Devlin, Talan, and Hunter. Burial will be at the Fallon, Nevada Cemetery at a later date to be determined by the family.
