Richard Carlos Acosta, born April 4, 1939, passed away on June 28,2024 at the age of 85.
Predeceased by his parents Carlos & Jane Acosta, and wife Beatrice Acosta. He is survived by his children Suzanne Acosta, Teresa Rambo, stepson Phil Corral, stepdaughter Staci Gallardo, grandchildren Robert Czzowitz, Lydia Acosta-Williams, Ethan Rambo, Phillip Corral Jr, Andrea Ramirez, and six great grandchildren Kaylee Corral, Alana Corral, Isaac Corral, Isabella Espinosa, Sarah Ramirez and Riley Ramirez. He also leaves behind sisters Teresa Montano and Tina Rohskothen, brother Tommy Trujillo, and a host of beloved cousins, extended family and friends.
Anyone who knew Richard knew how much he loved his family and worked hard to care for them all his life, he loved his hometown of Dawson, New Mexico where he grew up, and he loved fishing, especially Lundy Lake and June Lake Loop. He will be greatly missed, and his memory will live forever in our hearts.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, 2:00pm at FitzHenry’s Funeral Home 3945 Fairview Dr, Carson City, Nevada.
In Lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made through contribution to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
