It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Dean Hayes announces his passing on May 30, 2024, at the age of 83 years. He passed peacefully at home.
Ron was born in Nebraska and eventually made Carson City Nevada his home. He graduated Carson High School in 1959. After high school he enlisted in the Navy where he served four years. Ron “Oscar” worked for 38 years as a lineman for Connecticut Light and Power & Sierra Pacific Power Company, retiring in 2002. After retiring Ron and his wife Phyllis enjoyed many adventures traveling the United States and Canada in their RV.
Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Phyllis and his children Casey (Iris), Jarrod, Renee (Allen), David, and Robert (Tamatha). Ron will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Spencer, Melissa, Heidi, Shara, Cory, Mattie, Bree, Dakota, Athena, Nadira, Zachariah, Alexandria, Andrew, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his son Todd.
A celebration of life will be held at Gold Dust West on 8/3/24 from 2:00-6:00 pm.
