Toni K Grondin

April 14, 1952 - March 20, 2024

Toni K. Grondin passed away peacefully in her sleep with her husband by her side at 7:06 PM March 20, 2024.

She fought the good fight for six months following several life-threatening illnesses but eventually succumbed to liver disease.

Toni was born on April 14, 1952, in a small town somewhere in Minnesota. Growing up, Toni did not know her real identity or who all her siblings were (5 total) until sometime after
graduation from high school in Kalama Washington.

After two unsuccessful marriages Toni set off on her own, eventually moving to Sparks, NV where she found new beginnings and new friends. Working as a bartender at several local bars in the Reno and Sparks area, Toni always greeted one and all with a warm welcome and a
beautiful smile on her face. (Who says, you can’t find love in a bar…I did and married her too!)

In 2011 Toni suggested we buy a house and move to Fallon, where I grew up and we had family. It was the right place to live at the right time in our lives. After several years of being friendly, open, and outgoing whenever encountering a friend or stranger in the local stores or
anywhere she went, Toni wanted to get a job working with the public again. She went to work as a part-time deli clerk making salads at Safeway for 5 years ending in 2022. A job she really loved doing until her health started to decline.

Toni is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard A. Grondin, a son from her 1st marriage, Brooks (Amy) Chadderton, of Renton Washington, and a brother, Steven R. (Michaelene) Thomas of Vancouver, Washington.

A celebration of Toni’s life will be held at the Fallon Theater on Saturday June 22nd from 2:00 PM until about 5:00 PM. All are welcome to say a few kind words, sing along, dance or just join in the fellowship with the family and friends of Toni K Grondin.
