Lloyd D. Hargett of Washoe Valley passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2024.
Lloyd was born June 29, 1944, in Houston, TX. At the end of WWII his family moved to Gustine, CA where he grew up.
Lloyd was proud to be a Vietnam Veteran having servedin the USAF from 1964 to 1968. After his service years he attended San Jose State University where he obtained a degree in accounting. Lloyd and his wife relocated to Washoe Valley, NV in 1986. He worked for Dynatech and later Clickbond until his retirement.
Lloyd leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Robin. He had no children.
He is survived by his niece, Kairee Hargett and her partner, Craig, her children Sierra Williams (Jayson) and Dakoda Machal (Kirstyn), and nephew Michael Hargett as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lloyd was pre-deceased by his parents, Victor and Cleda Hargett and brothers Ron, Michael and Pat.
Lloyd will be remembered for his love of country and family. Lloyd was a talented artist having done many classic car renderings for friends and car clubs (Classic Chevys of Reno and the Over the Hill Gang). He had many interests including genealogy and classic cars. Lloyd had a brilliant mind and a quick wit and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
