Richard Wayne Penman, of Minden Nevada, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of August 23rd, 2024. He was seen by many on his last day hiking the Sierra Canyon in the morning and enjoying Dangberg’s 80’s concert in the evening. Wayne was 3 days shy of his 73rd birthday.
Wayne very much enjoyed his life. He loved his home in Minden with the mountain views. He loved when the first snowstorm came to the mountains. He loved the outdoors. He loved the ocean. But most of all, he loved his family, and his family loved him back.
Richard Wayne Penman is survived by his younger brother Tracy Penman. His daughter Tara Durutovic with son-in-law Luka Durutovic, and daughter Kate Frear with son-in-law Berton Frear. Along with grandchildren Nicholas Aaron Frear, 30, Kelly Lorraine Frear, 21, Milo Noah Durutovic, 16, and Logan Wayne Durutovic, 6.
Richard Wayne Penman will be missed by his family and friends on the slopes of Kirkwood and Heavenly and the on the many trails in and around Minden.
