Cathy Ives

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Cathy Ives, who left us on October 5th, 2024, at the age of 71.
Born in San Francisco, CA, she moved to Lake Tahoe in 1974 and spent over 20 years in Gardnerville before retiring in Las Vegas. Cathy was a remarkable woman whose love and kindness impacted everyone she met.
As a devoted mother to my brother Jeff and me (Jenn), mother-in-law to Andrea Ives and Travis Boggs, she was also an extraordinary grandmother to her beloved grandchildren, Haley, Evan, Kasen, and Ellie. Her brother Johnny and Kevin held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the memories they shared. Cathy was loved by her extended family, had many friends, and was a passionate gardener and animal lover, forming unique bonds with every creature she encountered.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her cherished dog, Buddy.
Cathy’s dedication to her husband Dave, whom she loved since eighth grade, exemplified true partnership. They stood by each other through thick and thin. Cathy leaves a legacy of love that will resonate in our hearts forever. While we mourn our loss, we take comfort knowing she is at peace. Until we meet again, she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
