Justin Lee Owen
April 17, 1981 - October 2, 2024
On Wednesday evening October 2, 2024, Heaven opened its gates to Justin Lee Owen. He was too young to leave us but was so tired of fighting his addictions.
He left behind a very sad family. He was a loving soul and will be greatly missed. Justin started his journey from Carson-Tahoe Hospital with his family and good friends beside him.
Justin was born in Carson City on April 17, 1981. He graduated from Carson High. He was a bartender/bar manager at Gold Ranch Casino in Dayton, NV for 14 years.
Justin is preceded in death by his Grandfathers Richard Cundiff and Jim Owen; and his Aunt Ginger Cundiff.
He is survived by his daughter Hannah Sawyer (MS) and his mother Pamela Cundiff and Father Gary Owen and his Grandmothers Marjorie Cundiff (NV) and Ellie Owen (CA). Justin is survived by his brothers Jesse, Jac and Joseph Owen (NV). His Uncles Richard, Michael and his Aunt Sherryl and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Justin had many, many friends and was loved by all. Justin raced go-carts at Fuji Park in the 1990’s. He loved the 49ers and enjoyed playing video games.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. We will miss him dearly.
