Susan Marie Rehm

January 4, 1946 - October 21, 2024

Born to Edna and Karl Wolf, in Omaha, Nebraska. Raised in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska. Her parents moved to Lincoln when she was in seventh grade. She later graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1965, where she was a musical vocalist and band member. Following her high school graduation, Susan attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, majoring in Anthropology. Out of college she was employed by Norden Labs as a technical writer. Following her employment by Norden, Susan worked for the University of Mid-America as a technical writer. Her final position before retirement was Vice president of advertising at Swanson Russell Agency.

Susan enjoyed everything outdoors. This included gardening, hiking, sightseeing, and traveling. She had a great love for all animals, and deeply loved all her cats and dogs at home. One of Susan’s most memorable experiences included an African Safari. Susan deeply loved Native American art and was a big fan of popular music from the 1960s and 70s.

A big change in life occurred in 2003 when she packed up and moved out west. Leaving her hometown in Nebraska for the high desert lifestyle in Gardnerville, Nevada was for no small reason- she met the love of her life, Roy Rehm, and there initial meeting in 2002 turned into a marriage a year later. Nevada also meant that Susan was much closer to her best friend and sister, Nancy who lives in neighboring Minden, NV.

Susan is survived by her husband, Roy, son Tre Brasher (Kari O’Neill Potts), granddaughters, Sarah Brashear (Clair Crossman) and Kate Brasher, her sister, Nancy Bargman (Dennis), her nephew, Chris Bargman (Aracely) her nieces Robin Wettengel (Paul) and Janet Arant, and her stepson, Luke Rehm.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Edna Wolf and her sister, Freda Strampe. Susan legacy lives on far beyond her bloodline through many friends across the country, all of whom were touched by her kindness, her laughter, and her unshakeable sense of self.

A Celebration of life will be held for Susan on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00pm. The location will be at the Rehm residence located at 870 Sheridan Lane, Gardnerville, Nevada.
