Sandra “Sandy” Lee Brewer

March 8, 1942 - September 1, 2024

Sandra Lee Brewer (Sandy), 82, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, in Carson City, Nevada. In her final hours, she was surrounded by her loving family, laughing and reliving stories of many good times had.

Sandy was born March 8, 1942, an only child, to John and Velma Snoddy, in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1960, then attended Long Beach City College. In 1961, she married Robert (Bob) Clark Brewer. She worked as a secretary until welcoming her first of three children in 1967, at which time she became a full-time homemaker. After moving from Long Beach to San Jose, they settled in La Crescenta, California where they raised their family.

She was the always present Mom at her children’s sporting activities. She was Team Mom, she kept score, she ran the snack bar, and she was heavily involved in the Glendale Bears Youth Football Organization as a Cheer Mom and ultimately the league’s Cheer Coordinator.
As her children grew older, her love of bowling brought her back into the workforce as the Youth Coordinator at Verdugo Hills Bowl and Valencia Lanes, where she patiently taught
hundreds, if not thousands, of children how to bowl.

In 1994, Sandy became a Grammy, one of the greatest joys of her life. In 2004, retirement brought her and Bob to Yerington, and later, Carson City, Nevada where many happy times were spent with family on holidays, birthdays, and her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bob; son Robert (Rob) Brewer; daughter Linda Torgerson and her husband Chris; son Gregory (Greg) Brewer and his wife Charmayne; granddaughter Sara Torgerson and her fiance’ Avery Nelson; grandson Dylan Torgerson
and his wife Makenna; step-grandchildren Tiffany (Juan) Rodriguez, Christian Sahagun, and Michael Sahagun; step-great-grandchildren Isaac and Ruby; and great-granddaughter Torgerson to be, whom she was overcome with joy to learn was on her way.

Arrangements are under the care of Neptune Society.

A Celebration of Life will take place on October 19, 2024
