Frank Soares
January 3, 1934 - February 23, 2025
It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to lifelong Fallon resident Frank Soares, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great-grandfather and friend to all. Frank passed away peacefully, February 23, 2025, with his family by his side.
Frank was born to Joe P. and Annie I. (Gomes) Soares on January 3, 1934. His life was spent in Fallon, attending Churchill County High School and graduating with the class of 1952.
Frank married Viola (Bailey) in 1953. Together they raised their two children, Debra and Steven until her passing in 1986. The years were spent farming and being active in the community, both county and statewide.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 33 years, Viola, and son in-law Alan Hoffmann. Frank is survived by his wife, Kaye Soares; sister, Margaret Bailey; children, Debra Hoffmann (Gary Brackley), Steven (Bonnie) Soares; grandchildren David (Kristy) Hoffmann, Annie Hoffmann; and Jerry Swindel (Catherine); great-grandchildren Colton and Kaitlynn Hoffmann; and many nephews and nieces.
A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Churchill County Cemetery.
